Explanation Letter

Dear Fr. Elot:

Peace of Christ!

What Mr. Zero M. Magallon, Director of Network Operations Center has said is absolutely correct! I have violated the University Code of Conduct for Users of Electronic Facilities by using the Xavier Ladies’ IP address on November 16, 2010, even though he has initiated to meet us last November 13, 2010; our perfect, Mr Hubert Brocales, was there to facilitate the said meeting. In the said meeting, he told us about the repercussions if such violations will be repeated.

To make clear of my action of the said violation, I have here the explanations:

At the Xavier Honors' Dormitory, we have LAN and WIFI (la Storta) connection. About the LAN connection, I have been given an IP address. It means, i have my own IP address already. While, the La Storta connection, it is automatic to connect to my PC, once both dormitories, the Xavier Honor's dorm for Ladies and Xavier Honor's dorm for boys have it.

I noticed, on November 16, 2010, we, dormers did not access the La Storta connection at all. However, At around 09am, I worked on my second entry of the port folio to be submitted at 12:00nn. At around 10am, I tried to connect to the LAN connection to access the internet. When, I connected to the LAN connection, my assigned IP address was conflicting. Immediately, I went around and asked to my dorm mates who were around to make sure who was using my Assigned IP address. But, no one responded to my concern. And again, in few minutes later, I did the same, I went around telling them about my concern, but the result still the same, my dorm mates who were around, they still neglected it! So, because of the time constraint, I took a shower then I went to attend my 12:00nn class.

At 1:30pm soon after I ended my class, I went back to the dorm by hoping that my assigned IP address would be freed from the conflict so that I could work on my project, and the assignments. But it turned out, it was not. My assigned IP address was still conflicting. Once again, I went around and asked my beloved dorm mates to let me know who was really using my IP address. The result was nil.

In several minutes later, I looked for our Prefect, Mr. Hubert Brocales, but he was not around and, so, I decided to use any unused IP address that available. I picked it randomly, it turned out, I picked the Xavier Honor's Dorm for Ladies' IP address. It worked very well. And I used it. At around 9pm, I was called by Mr. Zero M. Magallon to unplug the LAN connection because he said I have violated against the University Code of Conduct for Users of Electronic Facilities. Immediately, I unplugged the LAN connection on my PC as he said.

In this concern, as a student in pursuing process of learning, I Personally apologize for said violation and I, strictly promise, I will not do it again. Thanks!

Request Letter for opening the subject

Dear, Mr. Remodo

After, I learned from the Philosophy of the Human person I, the Philosophy of the Human Person II, the Philosophy of the Religion, and then the Moral philosophy, I have been aware that the philosophy has very essential role in my real life. It really has beneficial outcomes to my past, present study and, of course, it will have the great impacts in my future career, as an East Timorese Teacher later on. It is because; the Philosophy itself has the link to my major subjects, Physics, as Natural Philosophy.

There are four reasons why I have decided to take this valuable subject in this summer class. First: I have finished all my minor and major subjects, except one of my major subject which is Thermodynamics, but it is not offered in the summer classes. Second: next, new school year, we will have the Practicing Teaching. Third: we will have the LET Intensive Review. Fourth: I love Philosophy.

In this connection, would you open the Social Philosophy in this summer class even as a tutorial class? This will be a great help for me as an East Timor future teacher later on! Thanks.

Dear Mr. Magallon,

I wish to offer you my most sincere apology. My violation on the University Code of conduct for users of electronic facilities by using an IP address belonging to the Xavier Honor’s Dorm for Women’s was Unacceptable.

I allowed my emotions to dictate my actions, even though I am well aware that that is a violation which affects the sector being illegally and /or the entire network of the University.

Please accept my apology for my inappropriate behavior of violation, and I, strictly promise, it will never happen again.
